Dare to Throw Big
Have you always wanted to learn to throw big, but unsure if you can handle it? In this 3-day summer course, we'll guide you step by step in the process of throwing big. We start at the basics and gradually work towards throwing larger works, focusing on technique and conserving energy.

What to Expect?
We start from the beginning with preparing your clay and centering, ensuring no step is skipped. Then, you'll learn how to make it easier on yourself by applying the correct throwing speeds and techniques. We also focus on opening your work and how to lift to larger forms with the right technique and in different stages. Additionally, we cover joining two parts and working with larger quantities of clay.

Throwing Experience is a Must!

This course is suitable for students who already throw but want to learn and refine their big throwing technique. It is essential that you already have experience with throwing and centering clay.

What to Bring

Experience: Basic throwing skills are required.
Supplies: Bring your own tools. You can also buy a basic toolset at our shop on site. Don't forget your apron and a towel.
Lunch: Bring your own lunch, we'll provide coffee, tea, and water.
A free block of clay (10kg) is ready for you at the start, more clay can be bought in our ateliershop.
